Planning : Casting

Casting is a very important part of the planning process this is because the actors that i decide to use within my music video will be in most of if not all of the shots within the music video therefore it is very important that they have a lot of confidence infant of the camera and that they possess the skills needed to perform to a high standard for the music video.

the actors that i choose will also need to be able to lip sync and act to an appropriate level as a good majority of my music video will feature lip syncing and acting parts which will need to be of a high quality this will ensure that it looks real and a lot easier to match the footage to the song. they would also need to be able to fit into the filming schedule and be available to film to ensure that the music video is completed to a high standard.

Casting for the male actor:
Ed Pearce
Role: male main actor
Age: 18

Final choice: i have decided not to go with ed for the choice of male actor within the music video due to his confidence in that he appeared to be far too comfortable in front of the camera and therefore diverted attention.












Scott Pugh
Role: male main actor
Age: 16

Final choice: I have decided not to go with Scott as the male actor due to him not being very confident in front of the camera and with people in general, when faced with a camera Scott seems to appear uncomfortable and awkward therefore i do not feel he would be fit for the role.












Brandon Eady
Role: male main actor
Age: 16

Final choice: I have decided that for the music video i will go with Brandon this is primarily down to his confidence in front of camera as he seems to be both confident and calm when faced with a camera also his talent when it comes to performing.  This is also shown through the subjects that he studies and the various musical performances and awards won.





Casting for the female actor:

Olivia Nix
Role: female character
Age: 16

Final choice: I have decided to go with Olivia as my final choice for the female actor role this is due to her confidence when it comes to acting, singing and being faced with a camera and this si the perfect level of confidence for the role. this is again also shown through the various performances and awards won particularly in a duet with the male choice brandon.





Lilli Beard
Role: female actor
Age:17

Final choice: i will not be choosing lilli to play the role of the female actor de to her lack of confidence when faced with a camera and performing she just seemed to feel uncomfortable and out of place.












Loris Rhodes
Role: female actor
Age: 16

Final choice: loris will not be my final choice for the role due to her appearance not 100% being right for the role. as well as her being uncomfortable in front of a camera for example nervous laughter and not being able to keep calm.
